For one month we at Eva Health Technologies will be donating £1 for every 1000 Covid-19 jabs recorded in eVacc to COVAX, the global alliance focussed on equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines.
The VAX4VAX campaign runs for one month, from November 2nd to December 2nd, to coincide with the anniversary of the first Covid-19 vaccine being approved in the UK.
Alongside over 50 PCN partners around England, we’re taking the fight worldwide. As Eva’s Head of Marketing, Danny Stone, explains: “Access to vaccines remains a huge challenge in many nations around the world. We couldn’t be happier to support the COVAX initiative in our own way, to improve accessibility to vaccines for everyone. Furthermore, uptake remains a key priority on these shores. This campaign seeks to address both of these challenges.”
We’re looking to the power of philanthropy to support access to jabs overseas, while simultaneously encouraging further uptake within England.
Vaccination delivery partners are excited to be involved, seeing the value this creates on all sides. One such partner, Mark Cannon, CEO of South Downs Health + Care GP Federation, states:
“This is a wonderful initiative from Eva and we’re delighted to play a part in supporting it. Since adopting eVacc, the efficiency of our vaccination delivery has drastically increased, so we’re sure this will be a very rewarding programme, for a fantastic cause in COVAX.”
The eVacc software platform, accredited by NHS Digital and funded by NHS England, launched in May 2021 to record flu and Covid-19 vaccinations. Since then, over 50 Primary Care Networks of GPs across the country have used eVacc to help them deliver 1000s of jabs each day. Sites are now set to scale up to tackle one of the busiest and most vital immunisation seasons in NHS history.
As a new part of the NHS’ digital infrastructure, eVacc is the latest example of pandemic-inspired innovation helping the NHS deliver unprecedented levels of service.
It is available now, completely free to use for local vaccination sites in England for both Covid-19 and flu, with all costs covered by NHS England. More information can be found at evahealth.co.uk/evacc.
