2020 has been tumultuous for everyone. Within primary care and public health, there has been incredible pressure, and yet huge technological progress with simple innovations (like video consultations) spread rapidly. Looking back in years to come, hopefully we will see that Covid-19 catalysed many improvements to our health and care services, across the NHS and beyond. These changes could be the positive legacy from 2020.

At Eva, we hope to be part of this positive legacy, to be part of the future for health technologies. Having been a proud supplier of primary care software for many years, Microtest has teamed up with PUBLIC to reinvigorate its offering. With a new management team, new strategy and renewed focus, our mission is clear: to become a mission-critical solution for primary care professionals, to help improve the health and wellbeing of 10 million people by 2025

The name Eva was a suggestion from one of our team members, as an evolution to the name of our core platform EVOLUTION, which is internally called Evo. The change from Evo to Eva reflects a progression on a number of fronts. It reflects that health technologies should be accessible and relatable to humans, rather than be a faceless enterprise with nameless ‘agents’ and sales reps. It reflects that health technologies of the future will become part digital assistant, part reliable confidant, and part wise sage. Eva’s purpose is to bring forward the health technologies of the future, to help us deliver care here, now, today.

We are delighted to support our customers using our products and services today and to look to do even more in the future. Our process of re-founding the company has incorporated the views of our customers and our software users. Their views have shaped the selection of the new name and the new logo.

Eva stands for better. Eva stands for social purpose. We look forward to meeting you soon!
