Hi, I’m Lucy!

I joined Eva Health Technologies in July as our Head of Operations.

I’m a Career and Life Coach, an LBS MBA2020, a mother to a horse-sized labrador and I’m on a mission to make the world a happier and healthier place. I’m obsessed with organisational psychology and working to build diverse and inclusive teams and work environments.

At Eva I get to wear many hats, building many parts of our business that ensure that we keep our lights on, doors open and customers delighted.

The challenges I face here are not the same as those that I’ve faced in nearly a decade of consulting; our business is small, there’s a long history to contend with and our pockets aren’t deep. But here, every day, I work on something that makes us better, that brings us into the future and that shapes who we are in the world.

One of my favourite challenges, so far, has been working on our rebrand. This week we chose our values.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on these values; I started with cross-functional, all staff focus groups that were attended by over 80% of our people. This was my first opportunity to see our teams come together and talk about our past, present and future. We talked about the tough times and the glory days, but most importantly we spoke about who we wanted to be in the future. We spoke about our technology, our people and our culture. We spoke about what we want to deliver to our customers. We spoke about the importance of quality, intuitive design and trust.

We then met as a management team; discussed the output of these sessions alongside our personal values, and put pen to paper on what we wanted Eva to be. What we want our people to demonstrate, how we want our customers to see us, the change that we want to see in the world. We spoke as stakeholders in primary care – we are building a better solution for our customers; for the healthcare industry, as we are patients too. We are all stakeholders in the future of healthcare and we want better.

As patients and as technologists we defined our 5 values;

  1. Delivering Social Impact
  2. Earning Trust
  3. Staying Curious
  4. Showing Compassion
  5. Being Bold

I look forward to sharing with you how we embed these in our organisation and the next chapter of the Eva brand.
